Save Pre-Tuned Maps
Always save previously tuned maps
Use the upload function in the Unichip Tuning software to transfer a map from the Unichip to your computer
Do this by selecting Tools >> Upload Main Mapset from the File Menu as seen in the image below

Warning!Be sure to always upload and save any pre-tuned map, especially if you did not tune it yourself and your customer paid a couple of hundred dollars to get it tuned. If you click on the download button you will overwrite the original map in the Unichip and it can not be retrieved. Don’t make this mistake, as it is not the same as downloading something from the Internet, it is in fact the other way around:

Tip!Always upload two copies of your map, save one as the original and the other one as the working copy. The working copy is the one you will modify, so if something goes wrong you can always go back to the original. |

Important Information: If the Unichip is password protected you will not be able to transfer the map to your laptop unless the map was originally made by you. |
